To place walls from spaces

There are two methods of placement:
  1. when a selection set of space shapes is active, the center of the walls are traced over the edge line of the space shapes
  2. individual space shapes can be selected when there is no active selection set of space shapes. When individual space shapes are selected, you can trace the wall on the outside or inside of the space shape, or center the wall on the space shape edge.
To place walls from space:

Identify a set of space(s) that needs to be created as walls.

  1. Select (Place Wall). The tool opens a contextual ribbon tab Placement > Place in the Building Design > workflow.
  2. The Placement settings provides options to Place By. Select Place By: > From Space option.
  3. Refer to the Place Wall dialog to manage catalog type selection and setting the properties as discussed in the Place Wall tool.
  4. Set justification to control the placing wall against the space boundary:
    • Left to place the wall outside of the space,
    • Right to place the wall inside of the space, and
    • Center to place the wall on the center of the space boundary.
  5. Proceed with a selection of target space(s) in the view. When done, click to accept the space(s) selection. The selected spaces are converted into wall.
